Our return to Cornmill for a second week having visited in 2016 and something hopefully we'll be able to continue doing every couple of years. The property is stunning and suits us absolutely - we just love the house, grounds and location and also the furnishings and artwork. The house was perfectly clean and ready for us. Add to that the fabulous May weather we had, this was a perfect break bar a week being too short!

Over the years, I have found that not only is Melanie incredibly helpful and trustworthy, her attention to detail is outstanding. I know that she will sort out any problems efficiently and quickly. One example I can use is a damp patch we had in the kitchen which I needed damp proofing and painting very quickly before guests arrived, and Melanie went over and above what was required of her in terms of acting quickly and knowing exactly the right contacts to call in such emergencies. Her excellent communication skills, reliability and being extremely organised these are vital for peace of mind to any holiday home owner. We came to rest and recharge our batteries and Cliff Crest totally delivered the environment for that. Perfect location – easy access to the area yet on the terrace you could be in the middle of nowhere. The house is very well equipped and we wanted for nothing! It took us just under 2hrs to enjoy that first glass of wine!! The binoculars and wildlife books are a great finishing touch (we spotted little Egrets and a family of Shelducks)) three words to describe the stay? Perfect, perfect, perfect.

The Housekeeping girls left the house spotlessly clean, neat and tidy smelling fresh and welcoming. The Jam sponge cake and tea tray were much appreciated. Higher Furlong is a beautiful older style spacious house perfect for holidays in the Thurlestone area.

We were bowled over by the wonderful treats in the house - the Christmas decorations, the fresh milk in the fridge, the warmth of having the heating on when we arrived, and the TV magazine and turkey dish.
